About

I am Simone Jones, a parent of two young men now in their 20’s. I am an Educational Psychologist who is a qualified Nursery Nurse, Montessori teacher and HighScope Practitioner, having worked in preschools supporting children under 5 for over 10 years, before becoming a psychologist.

 

As a psychologist I have worked within a number of areas in Ireland, both across the disability sector in charity organisations such as Enable Ireland and St. John of God, and within the HSE Primary Care Psychology Services.

 

I have trained preschool staff in an adult education setting in QQI level 6 modules: Special Needs Assisting, Early Childhood Curriculum, and Social, Legal and Health Studies.

I also worked in the Access and Inclusion (AIM) Better Start service as an Early Years Specialist.

I am passionate about the programmes and coaching that I offer. As a parent myself, I searched for support of this kind when my children were young. Parenting can be tricky. Parenting when children have ‘big feelings’ can be even trickier. Now that I have mastered these skills, I am passionate about wanting to share them with others.
